GRIEF COACHING
There are circumstances in life that cripple and debilitate us to the point that we no longer know who we are . These events actually cause us to question our very existence and whether we will ever be able to move on . or ever be the same.
If I'm going to be honest I have to admit that I didn't choose Grief Coaching. Grief Coaching chose me.
In 2004, my younger cousin (who I actually feel like I raised because of our age differences) died at the age of 30. She died in front of her two young children, which till this day still causes me horror.
In an attempt to ease my pain (I being the one to view the body, pick out the casket; etc) I took a road trip to Atlanta GA (I live in NYC) an hour outside of Georgia, my car experienced a blow out and the car flipped over an embankment about 3 or 4 times.
The hardest part of that experience however was not the accident. Physically I was pretty much ok. But my faith and confidence were shaken. To make matters worse after my accident, my sister died…. followed by my mentors death…followed by a surrogate moms death followed by an in-laws death.
Those 5 deaths (to people who meant so much to me) all in the span of 3 months taught me something invaluable . It showed me life in ways that living never had. It taught me courage and resilience. It taught me heart
At the end of it all it taught me how to deal with grief and loss.
Bliss Speaks Grief Coaching allows me to share the road to healing with YOU.
Grief Quotes
Death Is Nothing At All
Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
That, we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way
which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you.
For an interval.
Somewhere. Very near.
Just around the corner.
All is well.- Henry Scott Holland ~ 1847-1918,
